A police officer has given a talk to a school class about his job. اعطى ضابط الشرطة درس الى صف دراسي عن وظيفتهُ
As part of the talk, he gave out an information pack to the students.

People have to follow the law so that we can alive together safely.
يجب على الناس اتباع القانون كي يكون بوسعنا ان نعيش معا بسلام
There are a lot of different laws, so police officers have a lot of different duties.
هناك الكثير من القوانين المختلفة , لذلك الشرطة لديهم الكثير من الواجبات المختلفة
Some officers direct traffic to make sure that drivers can use the roads easily and without having accidents.
بعض الشرطة ينظمون المرور للتاكد ان السائقين يمكنهم استخدام الطرق بسهولة بدون التعرض لحوادث
They also use radar speed guns to identify people who are driving too fast.
كذلك يستخدمون مسدس السرعة الكاشف ليحددوا الناس الذين يقودون بسرعة قصوى
.This is very important. Drivers mustn't speed because speed is one of the leading
causes of death on the road.
يجب على السواق ان لايسرعوا لان السرعة احد الاسباب المؤدية الى الموت في الطريق
Police officers also check that drivers and passengers are wearing their seat belts.
رجال الشرطة يتاكدون من ان السواق والمسافرين يرتدون احزمة الامان
Some people get angry because they don't like to wear them, but seat belts can prevent serious injuries if you have an accident.
بعض الناس ينزعجون لانهم لايحبون ارتدائها , لكن يمكن لاحزمة الامان تفادي وقوع اصابات خطيرة في حالة حصول حادث
So remember, when you get into a car, you must wear your seat belt.
لذلك تذكر , عندما تركب سيارة , يجب عليك ان ترتدي حزام الامان
Of course police officers also investigate crimes like robberies.
الشرطة يتحرون عن الجرائم كالسرقات
When there has been a crime, police officers are sent to the place where it happened.
عندما تكون هناك جريمة , يتم ارسال الشرطة الى المكان الذي حدثت فيه
They need to look for evidence, like fingerprints and footprints, which can be used to identify and arrest the criminal.
انهم يحتاجون البحث عن الدليل مثل بصمات الاصابع واثار الاقدام التي يمكن استخدامها لتحدد وتقبض عل المجرم
Of course, they don't have to recognize the fingerprints themselves. There are fingerprint experts who do that.

Police officers also have to ask a lot of questions. They interview witnesses who they think might have information about the crime.
يجب على الشرطة ان يطرحوا الكثير من الاسئلة . يقابلون الشهود الذين يعتقد ان ريما لديهم معلومات حول الجريمة
Witnesses can help the police by telling them what a criminal looks like or what time a crime was committed.

Police officers try to prevent crimes as well as solve crimes.
تحاول الشرطة منع الجرائم بالاضافة الى حل الجرائم

قطعة وجبات الشرطة:

The guidelines for the police national strategic plan provided key ideas for the  police mission statement and identified focus areas which need improvement, such as professional training, equipment, and relations with other government institutions.

It is ensured that police officers are identifiable by requiring them to provide their name, title and unit upon request, provided that the objective of the police mission is not endangered by this.

The General Assembly, in paragraph 36 of its resolution 49/37, requested the Secretary-General to strengthen further the civilian police mission and noted in this connection the views expressed in the progress report.

The Special Committee underscores the vital importance of the police mission within the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and notes the rapid expansion of the policing functions in the field.

And anyway, the police's job is to serve the people.

The objective was to rescue the police's mission self-esteem and protagonism in the promotion and defense of human rights.

Under this approach, the task of the police is to protect rights and to facilitate, rather than frustrate, demonstrations.

           The Government believes that the function of the police in the Netherlands Antilles is to maintain public order and to solve crime.
